Art-based fashion photographer Jasmine Smith uses analogue photography to capture soft and tender portraits - usually inspired by 1990’s aesthetics - to express all forms of beauty and femininity. Her natural ability to connect and communicate with her models authentically creates material which is relatable to an outside audience. Smith’s portraits are complimented by close-ups to emphasise clothing details as well as landscape imagery which often depict coastal settings due to her personal history with the British shoreline. Smith’s holistic practice incorporates physical methodologies such as audio, photobooks and cyanotypes to truly immerse her audience in the narrative, elevating her work above other fashion photographers.

She is a 3rd year student currently studying Photography at Coventry University, whilst undertaking a year abroad in Spain to build on her photographic portfolio and expand her knowledge of different photographic cultures.

Smith aims to work with her clients on a personal bases, in order to get the most intimate photographs possible, allowing the images to express part of the model whilst still completing expectations.
